Alef

Concept: Paradox, the Divine stamp on the being of man.
 
Meaning: An ox; one thousand; teaching; a champion.
 
Shape: Two polar tendencies (the upper and lower yuds) held together by a mediating force (the vav).
 
Number: 1.
 
Space: The atmosphere between heaven and earth.
 
Time: The intermediate season between winter and summer, when the earth is sated with rains.
 
Soul: The upper torso, particularly the chest and respiratory system.
 
Quality: Great compassion.
 
Archetype: The ultimate manifestation of the soul of Mashiach.
 
Channel: From chesed to gevurah.
