In the video we looked at the grammatical connection between parashat Tetzaveh and parashat Tzav. Let's now explore some of the more raw textual connection.
The opening text of parashat Tetzaveh up to and including "Tetzaveh" are ואתה תצוה, which consists of 2 words and 8 letters. In parashat Tzav it is, וידבר י-הוה אל משה לאמר, which consists of 6 words and 20 letters. Together, they have 8 words (alluding to the first 8 letters of Tetzaveh) and 28 letters. The value of these 8 words is 1904 which is a multiple of the two roots discussed in the video: "to command" and "to do," צוה-עשה. Specifically 1904 = 4 times 476 (צוה עשה). But even more amazingly, 1904 is also a multiple of 28, which means that every letter has an average value, which is 68. 68 is the value of "life" (חיים), one of the main topics discussed in the video.
28 letters can be pictured as a triangle. If we start with 1 letter on top and end with 7 on the bottom, the vertices will be the letters: ו ה ו, the first of the triplets in the Name of 72. The value of ו ה ו is 17, the gematria of "good" (טוב).
If we draw the triangle with 7 letters on top and ending with 1 on the bottom, the vertices will be the letters ו ו ו, whose sum is 18, the value of the word "alive" (חי). ו ו ו is also the first triplet of the 72 letter Name that comes out of the 216 letters of Kriyat Shema.
Furthermore, 28 and 17 are the golden section of 45, the value of the holy Name kachah (ככה) discussed in the video.
Another point relates to the words "sin offering," the topic of last week's parashah, Vayikra. Sin offering (קרבן חטאת) equals 770, teaching us that the disciples of the Lubavitcher Rebbe should identify with the sin offering, which in the soul represents the dynamic related to lowliness (שפלות). 770 is of course 10 times "mazal" (מזל). Another type of sacrifice is called a guilt offering (קרבן אשם), whose numerical value is 9 times "mazal" (מזל).
