Leah In the imagery of Kabbalah, partzuf Leah is initially situated "face-to-back" (the "face" of Leah to the "back" of Ze'ir Anpin) from the "back" of the "head" of Ze'ir Anpin to the "back" of his "chest." In the soul, partzuf Leah represents the "letters of thought." Leah is actually projected from the malchut of partzuf Tevunah through the "head" of Ze'ir Anpin. One of the differences between the two levels of consciousness of Jacob and Israel is that Jacob is unable to comprehend the spiritual level of Leah, the "letters of thought," whereas Israel is. For this reason, in general, Israel is considered to be the marriage partner of Leah.
